摘要：A locking mechanism has a threaded housing mounted in one member of ajack/vehicle assembly. The housing has a locking pin which threadably moves through thehousing and extends into a socket in the other member off center from the jack swivelpoint thus locking the jack in position and providing support for the trailer. The lockingpin has a taper at its extension end which provides positive locking pin engagement withthe socket and compensates for wear. Extension and retraction of the locking pin isperformed by screwing the pin into or out of the housing. The locking pin is retained inthe housing through the use of retaining pins thus obstructing disassembly of the lockingmechanism and possible loss of the locking pin in the field.
