摘要：A position measuring instrument according to the present invention comprises aturning unit and a fixed unit, irradiates a target to be measured with measuring light todetermine a distance, a direction, and a position on the basis of its reflected light. A lightsource unit emits measuring light; a light receiving unit receives its reflected light; aradiating means radiates measuring light in a direction which can be set freely, and directsits reflected light to the light receiving unit; an angle detecting means detects a directionin which the radiating means radiates light; the light source unit and the light receivingunit are fixedly provided; the light source unit emits measuring light toward the radiatingmeans; and the light receiving unit receives reflected light from the target to bemeasured.
