摘要：The device includes selectively operable article re-orienting means (38),

allowing groups of articles (12) to be packaged together in a variety of orientations usinga single standard packaging machine (14). An infeed conveyor (22) carries the articles (12)in a predetermined orientation in a plurality of lanes (30). A group collator comprising aset of lane brakes (34) and a movable backstop (32) aligns a group of articles in one ormore rows transverse to conveyor (22). A paddle (42) transfers the group to thepackaging machine (14). The re-orienting means (38) turn sub-groups of articles makingup the group to a specified orientation for such transfer, each article sub-group beingturned about a respective axis normal to the plane of the infeed conveyor.
